Abbreviation

Ring Clasps (I use 6mm.) SRC
10 x 8 mm 3-Strand Clasp
3 x 11 mm Torpedo Clasps
Seed Beads SB
Bugle Beads BB
Large Beads (E - beads, 5 to 6 mm.)
Crimp Beads
10-Hole Spacer Bars
4 1/2” Long Nose Pliers LNP
4 1/2” Round Tip Jewelry Pliers RTJP
(for holding and bending wire)
Crimping Pliers
All Purpose Wire Cutter and Stripper
(Right below the cutting end is a place that is perfect for crushing two crimp beads at one time.)
Dull Knife Blade DKB
(for opening Double Jump Rings - blade should be as thin as possible)
Small Fingernail Clipper
(for cutting wire)
Thin Grapefruit Spoon
(for scooping beads)
Nylon Coated Miniature Wire Cable   .018 - .020 Diameter   1,000’ spools
(If you get a smaller spool of wire, save the plastic clip that holds the wire from unraveling to use on a 1,000’ spool.  Buy top quality - if it’s twisted or curly when it comes off the spool - TAKE  IT  BACK!)
49-Strand Nylon Coated Miniature Wire Cable    .024”
(40 lbs. breaking point. Use this kind for the beadword stuff that needs stronger wire.)
Coarse White Cotton Cloth
(to work on - it keeps the beads from sliding around.)
Bead Boxes - 18 compartment plastic “Everything Boxes” with lid.  8 5/16” x 4 3/4” x 1 1/8”
(To keep beads from migrating to other compartments, take the dividers out, put caulking or glue along the bottom of the dividers, then put the dividers back in.  Let dry thoroughly.  When traveling with bead boxes, put folded paper towels under the lid to keep beads from mixing over the top of the dividers.)
Small Container with lid
(You’ll need this to keep all the different colors of the numbering system in.  See “SIGNING AND NUMBERING YOUR JEWELRY.”  This is so you  won’t have to go to each color when you are numbering your jewelry.  I have a specific table to work at, so I have a pile of the colors I need, on the cloth, ready to go.)
Bright Lighting - and close to your work
