Start - Up Kit Instructions

To use the start-up kit slide the plastic clamp off and remove page 16 - 27. Take these to your local photocopy store and make as many copies as you'll need. SAVE THE ORIGINALS and put them back in your book to use later.

Flyers

To use the flyers, copy them onto sheets of paper. Make sure to up-size or down-size them until the measurements match. Cut them out and fold them in half. The little cross at the top is to punch out if you want to hang them up for sale. The empty space at the top is for your company name. At the top you'll see a TJ1 #, or TJ4 #, etc. After the # is where you write in your necklace number. Under the "JEWELRY IN MORSE CODE" are two "MESSAGE IS IN"s. After the first one you should write in the language that the message is in. After the second one you should write in the color of the message beads. There is a space on the back that you can use to staple your business card to. The flyers are measured to fit into a business-sized envelope, so when you photocopy them be sure and match the measurements on the flyers to a ruler.

Tie the double jump ring to the flyer. That way the necklace can be tried on without having to take off the flyer. When you put a necklace, which is attached to a flyer, into an envelope: always put the flyer in first. If you put the necklace in first and then the flyer, you might bend the necklace.

Cheat Sheets

To use the cheat sheets; copy a few sheets, glue them to a thin cardboard, cut them out, and line up the tiles to spell what you want. Use the SP tiles as spacer tiles between letters. Now just follow the bead pattern. Up-size or down-size the photocopies to match the measurements on the sheets. I made them to correspond with the actual sizes of the beads, so you can check your spelling by putting the necklace next to the letter tiles. When you are selling directly to the public, it would be a good idea to keep a few sets of letter tiles handy so your customers can measure out the length of their message. They might want to switch to a different kind.

Order Form Instruction Sheets

When you set up your display, put these next to the corresponding order forms. You might want to fasten them down because if they disappear - you're sunk Fill out the prices and start taking orders!

If someone is ordering a TJ4 and needs room for more words, have extra paper there for that purpose, or write the extra words on the back of the order form. Make sure the customer puts his name, address, etc., on the extra paper and then staple it to the order form. It would be a good idea to have an example of each kind of necklace there for your customers to see - attached to the matching flyer.

Measuring String
(This is the colored string on the Jewelry Page)

This is an easy-to-use method for your customers to decide on the length of their necklace. Be sure and have a mirror there for them. To use it just put it around your neck and put the knotted end through the ring. Match the desired length to the nearest color. Check the color on the Order Form Instruction Sheet and find the corresponding number. Circle the number on the order form.
