Preface

Beadword jewelry was invented in 1994 in Kennewick, Washington. I decided to make beaded necklaces with designs in them - like everyone else’s. To set mine apart I thought that there should be some way of signing them. The idea of using the dots and dashes in Morse code came to mind. Since I didn’t know the Morse code I went to the library and photocopied it out of an encyclopedia. This is what became of it.

I use the International Morse code and not the American Morse code.

To let people around the world know about this invention I built a website that has all the information contained in this book. It can be down-loaded and printed out for free. I think this world could use a bit more capitalism, and this invention can make folks a lot of money.

So far I’ve made around 3,000 pieces of beadword jewelry and other stuff in 18 languages. Of the 3,000 pieces I’ve kept 500 for myself, and compiled their texts into a book. You can read it at Ted’s Text.

If this book was given to you or loaned to you, so that you didn’t have to pay for it, I would appreciate it if you would give a portion of your profits to your favorite charity.

Have fun - make lots of money - and:

"May the Lord bless and protect you; may the Lord’s face radiate with joy because of you; may he be gracious to you, show you his favor, and give you his peace.

Numbers 6: 24, 25, & 26         Living Bible

It looks like a necklace, but it’s . . . .
